Terms of Service

Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and ForgeLumen Limited for use of Upload‑Ready. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The service
Upload‑Ready provides browser-based tools to compress images (including optional format conversion and size limits). Features, credit limits, batch limits, and availability may change. Compression runs locally in your browser; we do not guarantee that every file will meet a chosen target size or that every format (including AVIF) is supported in every browser. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations or to protect the Service or other users.
Accounts, age, and acceptable use
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher), or 13+ where permitted by applicable law and with appropriate parental consent. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must not misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt other users, reverse engineer except where mandatory law allows, or use the Service for unlawful content or purposes (including malware or infringement of others’ rights).
Credits, subscriptions, and payments (Stripe)
Paid Pro subscriptions and credit packs are priced in USD and processed by Stripe Checkout. Card details are handled by Stripe, not stored by us in full. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel through your account, Stripe Customer Portal, or as otherwise offered. Canceling stops future renewals; it does not usually refund the current paid period unless required by law or our stated refund policy. Credits are consumable license units for Service features, have no cash value, and are generally non-refundable and non-transferable except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Usage: we deduct 1 credit only when an image completes successfully (including format conversion that still meets your target size). We do not deduct a credit when processing is skipped because Keep original is selected and the file is already under target; or when processing fails (for example decode/encode error, cannot reach target, PNG hard limit, or unsupported AVIF). Unused free daily credits do not roll over unless we say otherwise. We may change prices with notice where required by law.
Consumer rights (EEA/UK and similar)
If you are a consumer in the EEA, UK, or another region with mandatory consumer protections, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived by contract (including certain refund or withdrawal rights for digital content where applicable). If digital content is supplied with your prior express consent to begin immediately and acknowledgment that you lose a withdrawal right, that acknowledgment applies as presented at checkout.
Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that outputs will meet your particular upload limits or quality expectations.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IN ANY TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THAT PERIOD OR (B) USD 50. These limits do not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence may still apply. Courts of Hong Kong SAR have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers in the EEA/UK may bring proceedings in their place of residence where mandatory law so provides. You may also be entitled to use alternative dispute resolution mechanisms available in your country.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance, except where mandatory law requires additional consent. Questions: forgelumen6@gmail.com.
